Downtown Bike Rental Starts tomorrow!

Starting tomorrow, June 26th, Downtown Cleveland Allaince will launch a new bike rental program in Downtown called City Bikes. The new rental program will operate 7 days a week from 10am – 8pm on E.4th Street across from Flannery’s. Fifteen bikes will be part of the rental station when it launches.For the first time, Downtown Cleveland will have an easy to use and convenient bike rental program.

Celebrating the progress of the Cuyahoga

On Monday, June 22nd, the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District celebrated the 40 year anniversary of the Cuyahoga River catching fire. While this might not seem like the type of event you’d normally celebrate, this watershed event helped to launch the modern environmental movement and helped establish the Clean Water Act.

New Airport to Downtown Taxi Service

Last Friday, Cleveland Hopkins Airport (CLE) launched its new taxicab service program. This long-awaited program involves three local companies who have been awarded contracts to pick up passengers from CLE.

Hard Rock Cafe Founders Day Festival

This Sunday, June 14th, in celebration of the opening of the very first Hard Rock Cafe, The Cleveland Café will feature an outdoor music festival in support of the Cleveland Police Athletic League.

Euclid Avenue Planters are In

Over the last weekend, workers installed 100 planters along Euclid Avenue. The beautification project is a collaboration between Downtown Cleveland Alliance, ParkWorks, Cleveland Public Art and the City of Cleveland.
