Cleveland Design Competition Awards Reception Tonight

The 3rd Annual Cleveland Design Competition will culminate tonight with the 2009 Cleveland Design Competition Awards Reception & Exhibition, which is open to public. The reception will take place at the Colonial Marketplace at 530 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44115

DCA Announces City Advocates Program for 2010

Downtown Cleveland Alliance is seeking new participants for the DCA City Advocate program. Launched in 2009, the program brings together a diverse group of young professionals who are eager to play a role in the revitalization and progress of downtown Cleveland. While volunteering time and hard work to actions related to DCA’s mission, participants emerge as new community leaders and potential candidates to serve on the DCA Board of Directors.

Public Forum on the New Designs for Public Square

Join us for this interactive forum to learn more about the latest design strategies for Public Square. James Corner, noted urban designer and landscape architect, with James Corner Field Operations and the Kent State Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative will present three design strategies for Public Square.

Snow Removal Plan and Possible Parking Ban for Tonight

CLEVELAND – To manage this afternoon’s snowfall, 52 units of the City of Cleveland snow removal fleet were dispatched at 12:00 noon to begin pre-salting the main streets in order to prevent the likelihood of rush hour gridlock due to snow or ice on the roads. Snow removal crews will be fully staffed with 52 drivers around the clock for the next 24 to 48 hours.

Tower City’s Huron Parking Entrance is Closed

The Huron ramp to the Tower City Parking Garage was closed today due to needed repairs. A re-open date has not yet been determined. The Canal Rd. access gate is the only entrance and exit until the ramp is repaired. Expect delays for any event at the Q and for your morning and evening commute.
