Today, new fall plantings will be installed in the 103 planters that line Euclid Avenue from Public Square to PlayhouseSquare. The newer flowers and plants will replace this year’s brilliant summer flowers with colorful, but heartier plants for the cooler months of fall.

Regardless, Sparx City Hop trolleys and merchants will remain open even if it does rain. Some outdoor events (Tower City Street Festival, Open Air in Market Square and the activities in Lincoln Park) may end early depending on the weather, but trolley routes will continue to connect City Hoppers to over 70 galleries and studios and over 100 restaurants and pubs.

The 8th Annual Sparx City Hop is TOMORROW! From 11:00 am – 11:00 pm, Lolly the Trolley will provide two free trolley routes that will connect the 10 participating neighborhoods of Sparx City Hop. The hub for both trolley routes is E.4th Street and Prospect, in the heart of Downtown. From there, City Hoppers can choose from two directions:

The winners for the 2010 Downtown Photo Challenge were announced today.
Over 230 individuals entered the 3rd annual competition, which was created by Downtown Cleveland Alliance as a way to encourage exploration of the unique character of the center of the city.
