* “Just wanted to let you know I was pleased with the jump start service by team lead Brooks today. The parking lot attendant mentioned Cleveland Alliance might be able to help me when my car didn’t start (I had left my headlights on earlier and battery was dead). I called the number at 12:56pm, Mr Brooks arrived and had my car started by 1:18. Thank you for this service.” – Charles

Restaurant Week Chef Profile: Daniel Cassano, Sushi Rock

Daniel Cassano has satisfied the appetites of Clevelanders for more than eight years. He is the mastermind behind a continuously evolving menu at Sushi Rock and the Executive Chef for all of its operations. At a glance, one can say Cassano has a pretty full plate.

But, he is still hungry.

A graduate of Johnson and Wales in Providence, R.I., and one of the finest young chefs in the region, Cassano is still searching for the perfect ingredients. At the end of last year, this ongoing quest led him to Hawaii, where he negotiated a contract to bring fresh tuna to his restaurants less than 23 hours after it is caught. No warehouses. No middle-men. Sushi from the sea and rock from the earth. That, according to Cassano, is what Sushi Rock is all about.
