National Downtown Development Experts Discuss the State of Downtown

Event to Provide Insight on Opportunities Ahead and What Other Cities are Doing to Thrive
Wednesday, March 23rd

The Downtown Cleveland Alliance (DCA) will host its Annual State of Downtown event at noon on Wednesday, March 23 at The City Club of Cleveland. This event will highlight the positive economic forecast for Cleveland and the current economic developments with recent major construction projects, including the much-anticipated Medical Mart, Convention Center and East Flats.

The event’s panel of national downtown experts will discuss what other cities are doing to thrive and bounce back from the effects of a struggling economy. These experts will also provide insight on the opportunities ahead, and how the city can harness the energy from its current developments to reach its potential.

In addition to DCA President and CEO Joe Marinucci, the panel will include downtown development veteran and former chair of the International Downtown Association, David Feehan, and the immediate past President and CEO of the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, Michael Edwards. Dan Moulthrop, curator of conversation for Civic Commons, will moderate.
