Tonight…March 5th, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. the Cleveland Coalition will host the first public dialogue on the Cleveland casino development.
The event will be held at the City Club of Cleveland, 850 Euclid Avenue and admission is free. The goal of Friday’s forum is to start a civic conversation about the status of the project, the various sites under consideration and how a casino can be designed in an urban setting so that it doesn’t hurt other businesses Downtown.
Back in January, DCA and City Club New Leaders brought together a lively panel to discuss the issues and trends facing downtowns in Ohio. The panelists also talked about which development projects are currently moving forward in Ohio cities, and how we can continue to develop the urban core in the midst of the current economy. The panel included:

The City Club of Cleveland recently posted video from last week’s forum titled: “The Urban Core as a Talent Attractor”the recent”. The forum was the third of the four part Downtown Quarterly Series, whose mission is to encourage an open dialogue about the issues and trends facing our downtown and highlight the important role that our downtown plays in the health of our region.
On Thursday, October 15th, the Downtown Cleveland Alliance and City Club New Leaders will host the 3rd of their 4 part Downtown Quarterly Series. The upcoming panel discussion will focus on Downtown’s role in helping Cleveland companies attract top talent.
